Who We Are
Isabelle developed a passion for pregnancy and childbirth after experiencing the birth of her first child at home, with midwives in 2009. Already working as a bodyworker and graduate from the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, she went on to become a doula, training at Douglas College, specialized in pregnancy massage with Paula Jaspar, and took a 40 hours Breast/Chestfeeding course for Healthcare Providers at Douglas College, before pursuing her calling to become a midwife. Through midwifery school, she took the botanical medicine specialty, studying herbal remedies for the perinatal period for two years. She graduated from the Masters in Science of Midwifery program at Bastyr University in 2020 and in 2021, graduate from the University of British Columbia Internationally Educated Midwives Bridging Program.
Mother of three, Isabelle is French Canadian and has lived on the West Coast since 2008. Isabelle has previously worked in the adventure tourism industry, guiding rafting, canyoning, rock climbing and dog sledding.
In her free time, Isabelle loves to hike, rock climbing, canoeing and biking with her family. She also loves to grow food and herbs in her pot garden. Occasionally, you might find Isabelle riding her unicycle down the street.
